DAY 01: COCHIN TO MUNNAR
Cheeyappara Waterfalls
- It is on the way to Munnar, between Neriamangalam and Adimali. It cascades down in seven steps. Can see from Road itself.
Valara waterfalls
- Valara Water falls is also on the way to Munnar, 2 Kms after Cheeyappara water falls (right side)
Hindustan Spices and Herbals
- Can see spice plantations and buy farm products from here. If interested, inform driver to stop. so many shops are there.
- Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar.
Day 2: MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING
Mattupetty Dam
- Mattupetty Dam, on the way to Kundala Lake, is a storage Concrete Gravity dam built in the mountains to conserve water for hydroelectricity. Boating option available here (not included in the package)
Echo Point
- This place gets its name from the natural Echo phenomenon. It’s noted for 2 acres of evergreen forest upon a huge rock. The rock is more than 500 acres in area. Echo Point is fully covered with abundant green sceneries which looks like a whole place covered with green blank
Kundala Dam Lake
- It is a picturesque place, around 6 kms after Echo point. There is an artificial dam in Kundala which is the major attraction here. Kashmiri shikkara boats and row boats are available on rent. Horse ride also available. (on own) Mattupetty - Echo Point and Kundala Lake are on same direction.
Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park
- Eravikulam National Park, is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Thar. Nilghiri Thar can see closely here. You can go the park by their Van and there may by rush at the counter to get tickets. can book tickets online at https://eravikulamnationalpark.in/landing/index.php
Kannan Devan Tea Museum
- It is in the town itself, it is a demo model of the real thing, but it still shows the basic process. A section of the Tea museum also houses classic bungalow furniture, typewriters, wooden bathtub, magneto phone, iron oven, manual calculators and EPABX of the1909 telephone system. A 30-minute video explaining the history of Munnar, its tea estates and the programs put in place for its workers screens hourly. A demonstration room for tea tasting is another attraction where one would come across different varieties of tea. Those eager to understand the nuances of tea processing can do so at the CTC and orthodox tea-manufacturing unit at the museum.

Day 3:MUNNAR TO THEKKADY
Anayirankal Dam
- Surrounded by tea plantations & forests, this 1960s earthen dam & reservoir.
Periyar National Park
- Boating at Periyar Lake (a man made lake) and this is the only wild life sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close from the safety of a boat on the lake. The probable animals to watch are Bison, Gaur, Wild Elephants, Sambhar and a wide variety of birds.
Kumily
- Evening visit Kumily Market or see Kathakali Dance / Kalaripayattu show.. please coordinate with driver.

Day 4:THEKKADY TO ALLEPPEY
- Alleppey Backwaters After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kumarakom or Alleppey (160 kms / 4 – 4.30 hrs) the backwater destinations of Kerala. Arrive and check in to Houseboat (Private boat for you) which is also called as Kettuvallom (the boat will ready around 1200 hrs) and begin your journey through the picturesque backwaters and small lakes of Kerala. Your houseboat has bedrooms with attached toilet, a dining area cum sit out. There will be 3 accompanying staff in the boat. One driver, one helper and one cook. Lunch, Evening Tea, Snacks and Dinner will be cooked and served on board by the accompanying cook. In AC Boat AC is installed in bedroom and it will switch on from 9 pm to 6 am only. overnight at Houseboat.

Day 5: ALLEPPEY TO COCHIN SIGHTSEEING & DEPARTURE
Alappuzha Beach
- After breakfast checkout from houseboat by 9 am and drive to Cochin city. if interested visit Alleppey beach on the way.
St. Francis CSI Church
- The Protestant church was originally built by Portuguese in 1503 AD and is believed to be the oldest church built by the Europeans in India. This was initially built of timber and later reconstructed in stone masonry. It was restored in 1779 by Protestant Dutch, converted to an Anglican church by the British in 1795 and is present governed by the Church of South India. Vasco da gama was buried here in 1524 before his remains were moved to Lisbon, Portugal. The tombstone still remains.
Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica Fort Kochi
- The church situated at Fort Kochi close to St. Francis Church and is worth visiting. Some beautiful paintings can be seen here. The Church was built by Portuguese and elevated to Cathedral by Pope Paul IV in 1558.
Fort Kochi
- A mix of old houses built by the Portuguese, Dutch and British in these colonial periods line the streets of Fort Kochi. Here is a small beach also.
Chinese Fishing Nets
- These huge cantilevered fishing nets are brought to India by ancient Chinese traders between 1350 and 1450 AD. These nets are set up on teak woods and bamboo poles. It exhibits a mechanical method of catching fish by local fishermen and they are used in High tides.
Mattancherry Palace
- The Dutch palace also known as Mattanchery palace, built by Portuguese in 1555 AD. The Palace was renovated by in 1663 by the Dutch and got the present name. The Palace houses beautiful murals, royal costumes, palanquins, Dutch maps of old Kochi, three dimensional portrait of Maharaja
Paradesi Synagogue
- Constructed in 1568, this is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth. Known for mid 18th century hand painted, willow patterned floor tiles from China, a clock tower, Hebrew inscriptions on stone slabs, great scrolls of the Old Testament, ancient scripts on copper plates etc.
Jew Town
- is famous for its antique shops and colonial buildings that speak about the good old days of communal harmony. The Jew town is a narrow street between Mattancherry Palace and the Synagogue. Dutch Palace, Jewish synagogue & Jew street are at Mattanchary (2 km to Fort Cochin)
